Story Of Split Wood Designs Inc.
Thank you for your interest in our company and I appreciate you visiting our site. My name is Paul Anderson, and after 18 years in the in the construction industry and felling unsatisfied and unchallenged, I decided to start Split Wood Designs Inc. To jump start my business I was fortunate to get the opportunity to take on two multi-million-dollar beach front home restorations in Port Aransas TX after Hurricane Harvey. The two projects went very well and after that we slowly started to build our client base in the Austin and joining areas. It took us a while to build our reputation as a reputable Cabinetry and Millwork Company, but by bringing great customer service, quality, attention to detail, and reliability to our customers we are now well known in the area. With very minimal advertising and marketing we attain the majority of our work from customer referrals. Over the years have also been the preferred and only Cabinetry & Millwork Contractor for County Line Custom Homes in Spicewood TX (www.countylinecustomhomes.com). We have done all of the Cabinetry, Doors & Hardware, Trim, Closets, & Paneling for all of their projects to date and many more to come.
Story of My Back Ground
From 2001 to 2014 I worked for one of the largest Millwork Subcontractors in the United States, ISEC Inc. I started as a laborer pushing a broom and cleaning trash and from there worked my way up through the ranks to Superintendent. My life journey brought me to Texas with ISEC in 2010 when we were awarded a $50,000,000.00 Project at SAMC Military Hospital in San Antonio. Our scope included (Arch. Millwork, Specialties, & Doors & Hardware, & Other Misc. Items). I ended up staying in Texas and helped ISEC start a Division in San Antonio over the next 5 years. Some Notable Projects in Texas - Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Lakeland Airforce Base, Austin Energy, Visa Building in Austin.
After being told, I would need to wait until the existing General Superintendent for the Texas region retires until they would promote me to his position, I decided to make a change. My next journey in life brought me to Austin Texas in 2015 I went to work for one of the largest General Contractors in the United States, DPR Construction. They hired me as a Superintendent overseeing their division 10, Doors & Hardware and Millwork Division. I ran many successful projects for them over the next 3 years and learned a great deal. Some Notable Projects - Restoration Hardware Domain, Visa, Google Downtown, BOX.com Austin Office, Charles Schwab, Aloft / Element Hotel, University of Texas System Building.
